Part 2/2: The Ride We stopped in Golden, Colorado to ride an Alpine Slide. An Alpine Slide is basically a concrete luge down a mountain. You are seated on a plastic sled with wheels. You push forward on a lever to accelerate and pull back on the lever to brake. This is one of the two alpine slides that my family rode on our vacation to Colorado. Sorry for the bad quality of the video; it was shot from my phone.
